My published work covers various food & agriculture, political and general cultural topics.

From farmers markets to restaurants to USDA inspected mobile slaughter units to emmer/farro, I find interesting stories about innovators, ideas and great characters and share their stories with my readers.  I research and report on topics in detail so that my readers may employ these ideas and innovations in their own communities.

The mission of my writing is to encourage strong local food economies, support for locally-owned businesses, and freedom from corporate agribusiness and chain restaurants, all while supporting and promoting the development of strong communities and local economies.

That said, I am open to writing about diverse topics, so if you have an idea for me, please let me know via my Contact Zach page.
